Warning, I’m gonna gush about The Slow Readers Club... again. No matter how many times I see this band, they continue to amaze and bring something new. Tonight, a stripped back acoustic set that still packs enough emotion to swell the tent in the middle of Manchester’s Albert Square and the hearts of everyone within. Aaron’s voice sounds superb as he appears lost, trance-like, eyes rolled back in his head and Jim’s ability to maintain his metronomic foot-stomp whilst sat on a stool is impressive, the guy must have the rhythm mainlining through his veins, he can’t help himself. Just as we all can’t help fall in love with this band, Aaron asks “Who’s coming to see us at The Apollo?”, cue the loud roar... that’ll be everyone then! Can. Not. Wait!!
