So we’re here to watch The Scuttlers, but I’m rather taken with the first band to hit the stage, the ungoogleable Document. They’re bloody good, smashing out a menacing psychobilly dirge, low bass notes, murderous guitars and throat shredding vocals. Local too, gonna have to try and catch them again. The less said about Ryan Jarvis who follows the better, nondescript is as kind as I can be. Sadly my pulse wasn’t raised for The Scuttlers either. There’s more bounce and a bit of roll added to the rock, but it’s pretty forgettable. They look shit, sound a bit crap and despite what the advert said, they won’t go anywhere. There was even probably the worst attempt at covering ‘Funky Town’ I’ve. Ever. Heard! The ticket was cheap though, the beer cold and Document, despite having an awful name were worth getting in early for. In summary, the bill was upside down. Speaking of which, it’s time for another episode of Stranger Things.
