I’ve seen this band a few times now and every time they get better, tonight at a sold out Globe is certainly the best I’ve seen them. They make this stonewalled room above a county pub shake with blues riffs so heavy they threaten to rewire the fabric of your soul. It’s serious foot stomping, head rocking, ridiculous smile inducing rock n roll swagger. For me they really come into their own when they let loose in extended jams deftly sewn into every song, they’re so tight, clearly feeding off one another with low slung guitars set to “Have some of THIS!”. There’s a slight blight on proceedings as a few pissed up patrons decide that right at the front of the stage is a good place to take some shit selfies, but it doesn’t ruin the show. Maybe your‘e thinking blues rock ain’t my thing, it’s not really mine, but with a band like this you have to see them live. I’m bloody shattered though, a common theme of late, but there’s just too many bands to see and this lot are definitely worth checking out.
